How to contest a speeding charge

If you get stopped by two police officers in a car and you don’t
agree with the speed they say you were doing, you can contest the
charge in court, though it will be an uphill struggle.
Unfortunately if you have the TWO officers both saying you were
travelling at a speed (corroborating each other) that is usually
evidence enough to satisfy the court.
But if there are inconstencies in the evidence from the officer
doing the paperwork, say you were accused of 110mph at the time, but
the summons only says 90mph, then you could ask the court for the case
to be adjourned until such time as the other officer's statement has
been received.
The court should order that it be disclosed. Then consider the content of the statement and decide what to plead.
Police car speedos are accurate to within 1-2%, compared to "standard" public vehicles which can be as much as 10% out.
You should ask for evidence that the police car's speedo was in
order - they are likely (or should have) tested it at the beginning of
their shift.
If all is in order then a guilty plea would likely get you six points and a fine.

I was recently fined and got 3 points for accellerating out of the way of oncoming traffic while going around road works. what actually annoyed me was the fact that the camera is in the window of a local resident and it set quite a fair way lback of the road. I apperantly went 43mph in a 30mph zone but i no for a fact i didnt even get passed 35mph as i accelerated from 25mph and definately looked at my clock while doing so, however I still got done..... what a pile of *******.
